Membership and Contributions
			The Courtney Freedom Foundation is a committee of continuous existence (CCE) as defined by Chapter 106 of the Florida Statutes.  As such the Foundation raises funds by offering memberships within the Foundation.  Memberships commence on initial payment or January 1 of each year and terminate on December 31 of the same year. Dues for continuing membership shall be paid on an annual basis.     Persons or entities may in lieu of becoming a member of the Foundation, make a contribution to the Foundation. All contributions are subject to approval by the Board of Directors of the Foundation. Any contribution shall be distributed by the Foundation at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Foundation in furtherance of the Courtney Freedom Foundations stated purpose.

			The CCE is a voluntary association and the individual members are not partners for any purpose whatsoever. No member, officer, agent, or employee shall be liable for the acts or failure to act of any other member, officer, agent, or employee of the CCE. Nor shall any member, officer, agent, or employee be liable for his acts or failure to act under this Charter and Bylaws, except only for acts or omissions arising out of his or her willful misconduct.
